Llangollen Day Nursery was established in July 2018, set up in conjunction with ECTARC, the European language charity to enhance the childcare provision in Llangollen.
Managed by two local childminders with over 15 years of childcare experience between them, and who wanted to provide a nursery setting with the same home from home experience.
We provide a happy, caring, stimulating and safe environment with warm relationships between our staff and all the children in our care. We aim to help each child to reach their full potential and develop lifelong learning skills. The children’s day is carefully structured and planned, however allows plenty of time for Independent play. The atmosphere is relaxed, happy, fun and, very importantly, free from pressure and stress. We provide a wide range of learning and discovery opportunities to help the individuality of each child, based on personal development needs.

Llangollen Day Nursery believes that children learn through first-hand experience, using their five senses to develop an understanding of the world. The desire to learn is natural and it is through playing with real objects and materials that they begin to make sense of their world. With play as our basis we are able to devise our curriculum plans. The curriculum is based around the best principles of Early Years Foundation Phase Education and works towards the Areas of Learning specified by the Department for Education and Skills [DfES]. Each room has a designated area where parents can view the short and long term plans for that room.
